Built real-time Simulink/Simscape model of Thermo King Advancer A-500 for HiL testing:
• 19.5 kW cooling capacity at 0°C validated against bench data
• Real-time execution at 0.1s timestep on commodity hardware
• Full evaporator, trailer thermal network, and Cycle-Sentry controller
• First HiL simulator demonstrated for transport refrigeration



Two-Arduino HiL rig bridging Simulink VCC model with real embedded controller:
• 0.92°C RMSE temperature emulation via MCP4261 digital potentiometer
• PT1000 RTD sensor emulation with SPI control and voltage divider
• Validated On-Off control switching at −10°C setpoint
• First demonstration of HiL for transport refrigeration controls



Ground-truth validation of HiL system against real Advancer A-500:
